Fine Arts
Offerings
The study of fine arts is a core component of the classical and Christian education at Regents. The fine arts are not seen as a singular discipline, but as the integration of mathematics, history, language, and movement, expressed in the truth, goodness and beauty of God.
A cross-curricular based approach, especially in kindergarten through the eighth grade, has teachers intentionally connect their fine art discipline to other curriculum in science, history, and writing. The fine arts at Regents are taught from a biblical perspective, relating the creative product, whether a visual art or performance art, not only to history, but also to criticism and aesthetics. The fine arts give witness to societies otherwise long vanished. It finds expression in areas of our daily lives, inspiring and engaging us in the creative process even as we imitate God, the ultimate Creator.

Band
Read MoreThe Instrumental Music Program at Regents serves various communities by sharing God’s gift of music through performance. The goal of the program is to develop independent musicians with the technical and musical skills to prepare music, and serve their communities musically as they go out into the world. Students participating in large ensembles have the opportunity to perform for a large variety of events, including: semester concerts, chapel services, athletic events, state competitions, graduation and special campus events. Individually, students may participate in solo and ensemble competitions, audition for All-State music competitions and prepare music for various campus events. -

Choral Music
Regents offers choir electives in 5th through 12th grade. As in all other fine arts, choir is a one-year elective.Read More -
Dance
The dance program at Regents glorifies God through movement in an exciting, positive, and productive manner. The program levels are designed to be cohesive in nature, thereby creating an overall program that builds upon itself and allows students to grow and challenge themselves with each year of participation. All classes explore classical ballet, jazz, and a variety of other styles, which may include contemporary, hip hop, and/or precision dance. Students will focus on building a strong foundation of proper technique in combination with stretching and strengthening exercises.Read More -
Theatre
Lights up! Whether you are a thespian who loves the limelight or someone who prefers to exercise your creativity backstage through design and execution, Regents theatre has a place for you! In the classroom, students can participate in studio acting classes (Scenes and Monologues class), backstage work including set building, costuming, lighting, sound design (theater production and design class), production performance work (Honors Theatre class). Students who are more interested in film than the stage have the option of studying study film, script writing, and film acting (Film and Performance class). After school, students can participate in either of our two theatre productions each year. Visual Art
The ultimate goal of the visual arts program at Regents is to provide a challenging environment for the study of art in drawing, painting, sculpture, and printmaking. Principles and elements underlying art will be the foundation of training the student to see, think and create. Critiques will also be part of their instruction. Through field trips to the Blanton and other art museums students will develop an awareness of the context of art today and the possibilities that lie ahead for them. Students will also have opportunities to compete in Scholastic and TAPPS events. Students in advanced classes will be expected to spend additional hours on projects.Read More
